Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship foldable phone, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 at an event in China. In this article we are going to take a look on it.
It features a 7.98-inch 2K+ Samsung E7 LTPO display with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The outer screen is a 6.56-inch FHD+ TCL C8+ panel, also supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. The inner display incorporates advanced Pol-less Plus technology, which reduces power consumption while enhancing brightness and color accuracy, ensuring an excellent visual experience whether the phone is folded or unfolded.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 introduces a new Xiaomi-designed hinge, which combines high-strength materials with a wear-resistant carbon ceramic steel mechanism. This new hinge design reduces the total volume by 34% compared to its predecessor, with an unfolded thickness of just 4.59mm and a folded thickness of 9.47mm.

For the first time, Xiaomi has implemented an “all-carbon architecture” in the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4. The hinge floating plate, display backing plate, and battery compartment are all made from precision-moulded T800H carbon fiber, which enhances strength and durability while significantly reducing weight.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform and features an advanced 3D cooling system with an 11,912mm² cooling area that includes a vapor chamber and multiple graphite layers. The MIX Fold 4 supports two-way satellite communication, covers all major global communication bands, and includes a “Travel Assistant” feature.

It is equipped with a Leica optical quad-camera system: a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor with “Dual Native ISO Fusion Max” technology for accurate color reproduction and detail retention in high-contrast scenes, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view, a 50MP Leica floating telephoto lens for portraits and macro shots, and a 10MP 115mm Leica periscope telephoto lens for close-ups. It also features a Leica Summilux lens.
The 5100mAh battery employs new-generation silicon-carbon anode technology, supporting 67W wired charging that can fully charge the phone in 52 minutes and 50W wireless charging that charges it in 65 minutes.
